I'm Rachael Quan, a creative designer seeking to innovate and problem solve through graphic design and marketing strategy. I recently graduated from Virginia Tech Summa Cum Laude with dual degrees: a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a B.S. in Marketing Management (Digital Marketing Strategy Concentration). I use my combined background to produce unique, innovative visual experiences through intentional design backed with research and strong design thinking. I always try to bring joy and excitement to my projects, whether it be through fun illustrations and hand lettering or funky gradients!
I have an interest in how I can use visual design to produce good in the world and help others navigate the world better using accessibility and inclusive design. Through Open the Gates Gaming, I performed accessibility research and designed more inclusive gaming tools for Dungeons and Dragons. I believe that design is a tool to elevate the world around us and in a world of noise, make life clearer and more exciting. Past companies I’ve worked with include General Motors, Hokie Wellness, Virginia Tech Libraries, Virginia Tech Career and Professional Development offices, Stanford University, Music Academy of the West, NRV Cares, and more.
